The auto-insertion feature is arguably the most powerful feature of this plugin. Gone are the days of having to manually insert products on specific pages. Now you can just click one button and have products automatically inserted on every blog post across your entire website. The three products above are an example of auto insertion in action.
At a high level, here’s how it works. The WP Wolfborn Loot plugin scans your blog posts, either the entire post at once or individual sections at a time, and then finds relevant products to inject into that content.
When I turned this on, my clicks went up by large orders of magnitude because every single page became monetized. On top of that, it can also help with bounce rate. Think about the buyer journey. A reader might still be interested in a product if you can present one that’s relevant to their situation. For example, say someone is searching for why their floors still look dirty after mopping. They might not realize it’s because their grout is dirty. If you present some grout cleaners on that problem-aware page, you might just land a sale.
One thing to keep in mind is that auto insertion works with custom products. So it’s absolutely to your benefit to reach out to merchants in your niche that offer high percentage commissions and add their products as custom products. It’s literally a no-brainer since those products will now be included in the auto insertion rotation.
One last thing worth mentioning. Sometimes, if you’re using Amazon products and having the plugin automatically find them, the ASIN won’t load an image or there’s some other hiccup. In those situations, instead of getting one row with three products, you might just get one row with two products or a single product displayed as a “wide” box. If that happens, don’t be surprised. Just understand that’s what’s going on.
