Custom Products

The custom products feature is extremely powerful. It opens up the WP Wolfborn Loot plugin to work with any affiliate network in the world. And I want to underline this: custom products work with auto insertion. When you add custom products, auto insertion will try to use your custom products first before products from Amazon.

Creating your first custom product is super easy. Just click the “Add New Product” button. A pop-up window will appear with details for you to fill out. As you scroll down in the pop-up, you’ll see options to specify additional details for the large card format (which is optional). The WP Wolfborn Loot plugin has a variety of different product card layouts including small, wide, and large. Maybe your use case doesn’t involve large cards, maybe it does, but I definitely recommend investigating them.

There’s also an “Add New Product With AI” button. Just paste in a wall of text and the AI will parse all the details to create the custom product. The only things AI won’t do is specify the manufacturer URL, specify your affiliate link, or upload the product image. You don’t technically have to include a manufacturer URL, but it’s a potential win if you get a backlink from a manufacturer who sees you’re linking to their product.

Once you’ve created your custom products, you’ll need to click the “Enable” button in the “Active” column to activate each one. If a product isn’t active, it won’t be available for auto insertion (but maybe that’s your goal).

In addition to Auto Insertion, you can also manually insert custom products using shortcodes. In the “Copy Shortcode” column are three options: S, W, and L.

• S stands for small box.
• W stands for wide box.
• L stands for large box.

Simply click the bottom for the shortcode you want, then paste it anywhere on your website to have the WP Wolfborn Loot plugin insert the custom product at that location.

Let me give you one final pro tip. I personally use Amazon Associates for auto insertion everywhere, but I also have a lot of custom affiliate agreements with various merchants off Amazon for high-ticket items. So it’s to your benefit to add as many of those as you can in the custom products menu, because the plugin will defer to those first when choosing what products to insert.
